Italian 19th Century Louis XV St. Wrought Iron and Marble Console Table

About the Item

A stunning Italian 19th century Louis XV st. wrought iron, gilt metal, and Rouge Campan marble console. The most impressive wall mounted console is raised by unique marble feet with a most decorative scalloped shape, a mottled border, and fine iron ball feet. Beautiful elegantly scrolled supports lead up each side adorned with striking pierced finely detailed gilt metal leaves. The pierced apron is centered by additional superb scrolled movements with an exceptional gilt metal palmette flanked by luxuriant acanthus leaves. Above is the original thick Rouge Campan marble top with an elegant mottled border.
