Ming Style Altar Table with Everted Flanges, Meander Apron and Dragon Motifs

About the Item

A Chinese Ming Dynasty style altar console table from the early 20th century, with meander-carved apron, everted flanges and dragon motifs. Created in China during the second quarter of the 20th century this Ming style console altar table features a long and narrow rectangular top flanked with everted flanges, sitting above an apron adorned with carved meander flanking dragon motifs. The splaying legs on which the table is raised are connected to one another through side panels adorned with pierced scrolling foliage. With its elegant silhouette, carved décor and lovely patina, this Chinese Ming style console altar table circa 1920 -1930 will compliment any room, perhaps placed in a living room, foyer or hallway.
