About the Item
A stunning and finely detailed pair of Italian 18th century Louis XV st. Patinated, Giltwood and Rouge Royale marble consoles. Each wall mounted console is raised by two inverted cabriole legs decorated by 'S' scrolled acanthus leaves on the feet and wrap around laurel vines. The two legs are connected by a stretcher with a Giltwood urn central reserve decorated with bows and additional laurel vines. The top cap of each leg contains a beautifully carved front facing scalloped crest.
