Stunning Antique Regency Hardwood Giltwood & Marble Eagle Carved Console Table

About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this very rare late Regency, hand carved Rosewood, Giltwood console table with thick green marble top and eagle pillared legs sitting on claw & ball feet. This table is stunning, I would say early 19th century circa 1820-1840, the timber patina is exquisite as is the carving, as you can see the table has two full sized eagles, each with the original giltwood finish which has nicely aged, the marble top is thick and green, heavily veined, it is very artistic The table has been lightly restored to include a deep clean, hand condition wax and hand polish, it will have normal age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect from a piece this age Dimensions height:- 91cm width:- 122cm depth:- 45cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses. CONDITION Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
