Stunning Early 19th to 20th Century Chinese Hongmu pair of alter or console tables or center table. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if they have been refinished or restored. Well, how do you do… Hongmu??? Looking quite lovely… Thank You!!! WOW!! This is an incredible pair of alter or console tables composed of tall, slender, and quite handsome Hongmu (meaning, red wood in Chinese) frames bearing gorgeous hand carved Asian details on the front and side aprons and stunning square straight legs with modest ming style feet. The back of one table has wood pegs or biscuits and the other has the matching cut-out slots and when pushed together back-to-back they come together as one marvelous square Center Table! SO VERSATILE!! You can use them side by side as a pair of fabulous console tables in your living room, two separate tables in two different rooms, or as a stunning center table in your family room for a fantastic focal point to display books, art, & decor. You could place them in your entry way for a lovely landing space for keys, mail, and your wallet or in the entertainment room for games, puzzles, and photos. At 35 inches tall, they are console height so you couldn’t use them in your dining room but more of a spectacular way to showcase your favorite items. Limitless possibilities!! Call them console tables, call them alter tables, or call them a center table!! Whatever you do, make these tables the “center of attention” in your home… And call them YOURS!!!

Wonderful vintage Chinese Chinoiserie dining table comprised of Rosewood & Mother of Pearl (m-o-p) round top with 2 leaves, converting it to a small oval with one leaf and large oval with 2 leaves. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. This Asian style table is in excellent vintage condition with the exception of a small missing piece of m-o-p on the top which we have repaired by filling with wood filler and painting with a pearlized paint. You can still see the spot when looking for it but doesn’t show overall. There was also a nick on the inside edge of one of the leaves that has been filled. The whole top and leaves have been scuffed and given a coat of poly for durability. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-Late 20th Century.
