19th Century Pair of George III Mahogany Demilune Console Tables
About the Item
Elegant pair of 19th century Georgian demi-lune console tables crafted from mahogany. The distinctive tables once ends of a grand banquet table feature serpentine or undulating aprons that lighten the antique aesthetic in a whimsical way. The demi-lune tops measure 1 inch thick supported by long tapered legs with carved subtle arch designs and satinwood thread inlay on the tops. The aprons measure 22 inches from the floor to the bottom and feature radiant mahogany veneered fronts. The tables fit together to form a round center table. The wood has a desirable patina to commensurate age and use. Beautifully crafted with stable joinery and old repairs. Sold as a pair.
