This table has seen some use as you would imagine given that it is well over 200 years old, the history can be seen in the table top which is why its being listed as distressed. There isn't one section that doesn't show originality and patina, nothing has been hidden, its all there and looks wonderful
Once unfolded you reveal a stunning hand painted leather card playing surface, it looks to be a Victorian addition and makes for a much more interesting surface than the base timber
The timber has been cleaned waxed and polished from top to bottom, this is not a gallery perfect example, if originally is your thing then this table is for you, museum quality examples are, then not!
