18th c. English Gadrooned Reading Desk

About the Item

An 18th century English mahogany pedestal desk with gilt tooled leather inset three-section top over central drawer with two banks of four drawers to either side, featuring fine details such as hand-carved gadrooned edge molding, beaded edges to drawers, brass pulls, and original wood castors to underside to allow easy movement. Notably also possessing a central adjustable leather covered book support for reading.
