18th Century Walnut Writing Table
About the Item
A Queen Anne era Walnut writing table, with bordered edge and book matched burl walnut veneer with mixed wood inlays to the top with rounded corners to the front, shaped inlay apron, raised on large scrolled carved cabriole legs on a raised carved French foot. This piece, which I believe is French or Italian began life as a card table and at some point having an additional top which was probably damaged. A very nice looking early writing table with excellent color and patina to the very old surface.
