This exceptional Biedermeier single drawer table was made during the early Viennese Biedermeier period, circa 1825.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
This substantial and rare table desk belongs to the tradition of the lyre-desks of the Empire or Biedermeier periods, which were known for this type of form. This kind of furniture originated in Vienna. Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The table besides its elegant proportions has a gorgeous highly figured walnut veneer with beautiful light deep amber color.
This fine piece has a lovely walnut book-matched veneer with
accentuated by a deep amber tone of french polish finish and 200 years old patina.
The construction of the table is very solid and steady.
The piece is in very good condition.
