This exceptional, early Biedermeier side table was made in Vienna circa 1820-25.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
The refined details of this gorgeous piece are highlighted by sophisticatedly shaped legs.
The base on which the table top rests is beautifully shaped giving lightness and exquisite proportions.
This beautiful and rare Viennese Biedermeier table has a lovely walnut book-matched veneer accentuated by a light amber tone of french polish finish and beautiful 200 years old patina. The large single drawer is discreetly fitted underneath the tabletop. The construction of the table is very solid and steady.
