About the Item

19th century empire revival Swedish birch desk circa 1895. We are pleased to offer this stunning desk which has been fully restored in our workshop. Rich golden colour, 3 part pedestal desk.  Top surface veneered in figured birch, detailed with walnut stringing and a cross banded border.  Below the top surface we have 3 drawers.   Architectural pedestals left and right complete with inset panel and turned columns.  Right hand pedestal contains 4 fitted oak drawers, a single shelf on the left hand side.  All raised on block feet. 1 very small area of restoration to top surface.  Very slight undulations to top.  Fully re-polished by hand and ready for everyday use. Knee height: 24 1/2" Knee width: 24"
