19th Century French Louis XVIII Style Stripped Writing Table
About the Item
This country table exemplifies the rustic style seen in Southern France and Spain. The style as seen in Louis XIII country interpretations, developed in France an Spain and mirror the style of the Renaissance. Hardy woods such as oak were commonly used, iron stretchers were added for strength and style and legs turned on a lathe and simple carving sometimes added decoration.
Handmade, major wood is in walnut and turned legs in oak.
