About the Item

Kitchen table hand-crafted in Central Italy in the early 1800s using walnut and pegged construction. The table has a beautiful warm, deep amber color and features a single drawer inset on the front of the flat apron. The drawer shows beautiful hand-made dovetail joints. The top features three long boards with rounded edges, pegged to the apron. Some age cracks can be seen as well as a few discolorations (pictured). The table sits on hand-turned legs ending with bun feet. The legs are connected with an I stretcher. Overall this is a very simple, elegant, and practical table that can be used both as a kitchen table to prep food and eat or as a writing desk. Its warm, yet light, color will help it fit well with modern furniture as well as antique pieces.
