Antique Georgian Style Burr Yew Pedestal Desk
About the Item
A smart and very well made antique Georgian style burr yew pedestal desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1950’s.
This is of lovely quality, the side and back are figured yew wood, there are gorgeous burr yew drawer fronts. There is an inset leather top with gold tooled edges, this sits on bracket feet and has high quality brass handles. The back is nicely finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with just some minor wear remaining here and there. The top lifts off and this breaks down into three pieces for ease of transport.
