Antique Swedish Writing Table Desk, Genuine Red and Blue Painted Folk Art
About the Item
Antique Swedish folk art writing table from the village of Alfta in Hälsingland in northern Sweden. The desk is made in Swedish pine and is in untouched original condition. A notable detail is that the table has two smaller drawers as opposed to the more common example of a single large one. The paint is original as is the monogram and the dating 1839. The paint has the authentic wear and patina after almost 200 years of use and it gives the table the unique charm of an antique. Height to the apron is 61 cm.
