A Biedermeier Antique Writing Cylinder Bureau/Desk with Drawers c1880
About the Item
A sophisticated antique Danish (?) cylinder bureau desk with drawers. A great piece! Rare Biedermeier style. The cylinder top slides up to reveal a plethora of drawers, hidden drawers, nooks and crannies. Tiny bone knobs. The top drawer acts as the desk top, and slides out. A portion can be put at an angle to read a book from. Charming engraved scenes of village life on some of the drawer fronts. Key with tassel. Nice color with a waxed finish.
