Biedermeier Desk in Walnut Veneer, Germany, circa 1830
About the Item
This is a beautiful five-drawer desk from the Biedermeier period. It was made in Germany around 1830s. The piece is veneered with walnut wood with an extraordinary black oak and maple vein inlay on the drawers, tabletop and sides showing extraordinary quality craftsmenship of the Biedermeier period. The desk is supported on eight conical legs that provide high stability. All five drawers feature beautiful brass fittings and key locks. The back of the desk is also veneered with beautiful walnut so it can be easily placed as a center piece in a room or office. The desk is equipped with two practical handles on both sides that enable easy carrying and moving around. In summary this absolutely high quality piece will truly stand out in any office space, home or business adding a unique and elegant touch of Biedermeier style to the decor!
