Empire Writing Table, probably Vienna around 1800

About the Item

Small Empire work table with partly gold-patinated, curved caryatid legs and walnut veneered body. The table is inlaid with wonderful fire-shaded floral bands decorated with ink painting. The interior consists of a sliding writing tablet covered in green leather and additional compartments for penholders and writing utensils.
