Introducing an extraordinary executive desk fresh out of our restoration shop. Originally built in the 1960's by the small Costa Mesa Furniture Co. based out of Anaheim this minimalist desk has undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration process that features a genuine leather hide desk top as well as a custom-milled edge banding cut from a solid slab of sustainably sourced black American walnut. Simultaneously understated and alluring, sophisticated and refined yet rugged and no-fuss this truly one-of-a-kind executive desk is the epitome of 'custom-made'. The desk top has been recovered in an Italian genuine leather hide. The hide is thick-cut assuring durability and longevity and the rich, jet black tone perfectly offsets the warm walnut woodgrains. The drawer boxes feature a remarkable design cut around the chrome legs that is structurally and aesthetically fascinating with stunning, variegated woodgrains that are absolutely mesmerizing in natural light. With it's unique wrap around edge banding, rich use of materials from Italian leather to solid American Walnut and expert craftsmanship this desk is the very definition of 'sui generis'. Perfect in both home and office settings this desk can easily blend seamlessly against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Minimalism to Contemporary. With literally nothing else out there like it, when it's gone - it's truly gone forever. Make it yours today. ---Dimensions--- Width: 72.5 in / 184.15 cm Depth: 33.75 in / 85.73 cm Height: 29.25 in / 74.3 cm This extraordinary American-made executive desk has recently undergone a comprehensive and transformative restoration process and the results speak for themselves! The walnut veneer shows only one gouge on the bottom inner portion of the drawer box and can be seen clearly in the detail photos provided. There are also three minor veneer repairs present (shown in the photos provided). With that said there are no other stains, deep scratches or other signs of damage whatsoever and variegated woodgrains unique to the walnut species are absolutely stunning in natural light. All six drawers open and close with ease and feature one filing cabinet drawer as well as nifty organizers built in two side drawers. The genuine leather hide desk top is in new, never-used condition and shows only the wear of a once living animal (scars and ranch brands etc). The chrome legs show minor tarnishing (shown in the video provided) but are free of rust and are weight-bearing. This desk is highly functional, structurally sound and ready for a literal lifetime more of use thanks to it's recent restoration.
