About the Item

Elegant presidential desk entirely veneered in walnut, embellished with gilded bronze trim and handles. The gilded bronze trim, featuring splendid gilding, further enhances the refinement of this desk, as do the band surrounding the top, the vegetal curls on the front and legs, and a sun medallion on the sides. The desk is also distinguished by its curved legs and its slightly wavy shape on all sides. The exquisite top is covered in calfskin, decorated with small vegetal incisions along the edges and in the center. The desk is also a central desk, equipped with drawers on both sides, but they only open from the front. This desk is a unique piece of furniture, capable of furnishing any space with taste and refinement. French manufacture, first half of the 19th century. Measurements: H x W x D 79 x 146 x 74cm
