About the Item
A French painted wood small-sized writing desk from the turn of the 18th and 19th century. This antique table from France has a rectangular-shaped top with a raised and beautifully scallop-carved lip which frames in the back and sides. The apron houses three drawers along the front, each fitted with a single escutcheon keyhole at their center, and has a scalloped skirt at the two short sides, and front skirt has a more shallow scalloped details with floral accents. The table is presented upon four gracefully curved legs, with floral accents embellishing their knees, and carved leaves atop the hoof-style feet.
