A Magnificent 19th Century Large Antique French Louis XV Style figural gilt bronze mounted kingwood and marquetry double sided Bureau Plat/Desk of very unique shape. This spectacular French desk has a graceful, symmetrical form highly decorated all the way around and can also be used as a center table. The elegant curved legs of this spectacular Bureau plat are embellished with the most intricate gilt bronze mounts depicting beautiful figural masks of neoclassical ladies with super gilt bronze feet. This rare Bureau plat is adorned with a solid elegant gilt bronze border around the entire top and applied with finest gilt bronze foliage mounts. Further the top is decorated with the most exquisite wood marquetry panel depicting unusual flowers and finally adorned with a single secret drawer.
