About the Item

An elegant desk, the carved case features a fall-front writing surface that opens to reveal six small interior drawers. Below are three full-length drawers fitted with decorative brass hardware. The shaped and carved skirt adds refinement, while the desk is supported on graceful turned front legs. Likely originally topped with a bookcase, now absent. Desktop Height: 37.75" The desk’s neutral white painted surface gives the 18th-century form a fresh, versatile presence. The softly aged finish highlights the carved details while keeping the overall look light and understated. Its pale tone allows it to blend effortlessly into a range of interiors—from classic French Country and traditional rooms to modern farmhouse, coastal, or transitional spaces.
