19th Century French Furnitue Gilt Bronze Bureau a Cylinder by A. Chevrie
About the Item
Remarkable cylinder desk in mahogany and bronze louis XVI style executed by A.Chevrie, famous cabinetmaker parisian
this bureau a cylindre has 3 belt drawers and a large belt drawer lined with finely chiseled bronze, at the four corners of the belt desk there is 4 scrapers, the feet are lined with bronze and its ends with bronze clogs, the top of the desk has a marble surrounded by an openwork bronze belt . The cylinder opens on three clear wood drawers in the belt you have a shelf linrd of leather that pulls when the cylinder is open.
