This is a grand antique estate pedestal desk. An English, quality mahogany and satinwood roll-top secretaire desk, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1860.
A desk of superior craftsmanship and proportion, with strong country estate appeal
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order
Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep caramel hues throughout
Striking roll-top opens to reveal satinwood drawer fascia of warm caramel colour
Delightful pull-forward writing surface with an inset lock — in working order, key present

Trio of tooled and embossed leather skivers, the outer pair opening to show pen compartments
