About the Item
Our new prime English oak 2 drawer dovetailed desk. Designed and handmade in England using skilled traditional furniture making techniques. Completely handcrafted from the finest fully quarter-sawn English oak. Hand dovetailed joints surround the oak box and internal drawer parts. The bridle leather finger pulls can be in English Tan, Brown or Black.
A distinctive contemporary piece of furniture built in the time honoured fashion.
Created for generations to come.
Hand finished in durable oils.
The desk design can be customised to suit your needs - within practical parameters - these custom dimensions will be quoted upon request.
This design is also available in prime American black walnut.

Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
These are all completely handmade, in very small numbers, by our skilled craftspeople in England.
