About the Item

Sublime rococo style lacquered library table or writing table desk crafted by Hendrix Allardyce Hollywood, California. The desk is fronted by a large storage drawer with a round brass pull. The case features a highly carved decorative design with scales, acanthus, and rocaille shell motifs. Intentionally aged, distressed lacquer patina on the painted finish to mimic age. The desk measures 22.5 inches high from the floor to the apron. The table is supported by gracefully curved legs with joints. Provenance: From the estate of Stuart Moldaw Atherton, CA.
