About the Item

To your attention this important and remarkable Italian executive Desk of the 1950s, very rare, manufactured by Esposizione Permanente Mobili Cantù (marked) and attributable to the illustrious designer Osvaldo Borsani. It features a stunning black glass top and six lockable drawers, distinguished by their channeled wood in ebony colour and exquisitely finished with detailed brass handles. Accompanying this masterpiece is also a smaller typing desk, also adorned with the same black glass top and equipped with a functional drawer. Both desks are in very good condition for their age, as evidenced by the photos, as all wooden surfaces have recently been polished to perfection with shellac, making them ready for immediate use. It’s our opInion only some light signs of wear are perceptible, due to age and delicate use, but they are not visible at first sight as they are located in the internal parts under the glass top and, above all, they do not affect the general aesthetics appearance of the desk. Overall, these desks are not just functional furniture, they are the quintessential aesthetics examples of mid-century Italian design, ready to elevate any interior project, whether it's a chic apartment or a sophisticated office. Dimensions Executive Desk: width 185 cm (72,83 in) depth 88 cm (34,65 in) height 77,5 cm (30,51 in) Dimensions Dattilo Desk: width 88 cm (34,65 in) depth 41 cm (16,14 in) height 66,5 cm (26 in) Soon we will also present here the Bookcase and two Chairs that are originally part of this set. At the moment we are polishing the bookcase with shellac, while we will cover the seats with high-quality black velvet.
