Late 19th Century French Louis XIII Style Walnut Side Table or Writing Table

About the Item

This small scale French Louis XIII style walnut writing table or desk from the late nineteenth century is of hand pegged construction and features a beveled top. The top is supported by barley twist legs that rest on finial feet. A barley twist H-stretcher extends between the legs for additional stability. A single drawer fits seamlessly into the apron and is fitted with a turned knob drawer pull. Finished on all sides, this writing table could be placed in the center of a room, circa 1880. From floor to apron measures 25 inches.
