About the Item

An elegant Louis XVI–style flat writing desk crafted in waxed blond mahogany, combining refined symmetry with timeless neoclassical design. The desk opens along the belt with three drawers — the central drawer fitted with a working lock and key, and the lateral drawers with drop handles. The reverse side features a simulated arrangement of three drawers, creating a balanced and decorative profile from every angle. The top is newly covered in fine black leather, gilt-tooled with decorative borders, offering a smooth and sophisticated writing surface. Raised on four tapered, fluted legs with square sections ending in brass sabots, the piece reflects the lightness and precision characteristic of the Louis XVI period. Its warm patina and meticulous detailing make it a versatile and distinguished addition to any study, library, or refined interior. A perfect blend of function, craftsmanship, and enduring French elegance. Dimensions: 51.5"W x 27.625"D x 30"H Apron: 23.25"H
