About the Item
Elegant Louis XVI style ormolu mounted mahogany desk or bureau plat, circa 1950's ,
attributed to Maison Jansen, rectangular, the gilt tooled leather inset top bordered by a gilded steel molding above three short drawers with ormolu mounts and key plates, the geometric paterae-headed tapering square legs with gilded mounts terminating in gilded block feet.
Provenance: Paris Collection , NYC Upper East Side townhouse.
