Bureau plat desk in the French Louis XVI style, circa 1940. This elegant writing table has fluted legs, bronze hardware and gilt trim, and three dovetailed drawers. The writing surface is embossed crimson red leather, and covers the two pull-out leaves as well. This is a charming piece with great decorative impact and wonderful craftsmanship. Each leaf is 12.5 inches.
