About the Item

Designed by Maurice Calka (1921-1999) and produced by Leleu Deshay in only a very limited quantity, this Boomerang shaped desk represents a new technical application of fiberglass in French furniture production started in the late 1960s. The desk consists of a cantilevered fiberglass base with a boomerang-shaped profile, and has been finished in white lacquer. The curved design gives the impression of a unified, monolithic appearance. Origination: France, marked by producer. Condition: Very good. Minor discoloration on the desk, some light scratches on the surface. The metal drawer slides show some aging which we have left untreated. The desk has been completely polished and cleaned, is supplied with a set of keys. Materials: fiberglass, metal Literature: P. Decelle, D. Hennebert and P.
