Mid-Century rattan wicker and bamboo desk attributed to Dal Vera 1960s Complete and in good condition, it has four very spacious drawers. Dal Vera Antonio e Figli (1884 – 1984) The factory, active from 1884 to 1984 in the Conegliano Veneto factory and in other locations, was founded in 1884 by Antonio Dal Vera and produced a vast collection of living room and dining room furniture lunch. It is known above all for the production of rattan furniture and, from the end of the 1920s, also in bent wood. Materials such as bamboo, glass and leather were also heavily featured in his inventive designs, as were brass hardware and handles. From the 1950s onwards, to adapt to the needs of the time, he also created furniture of different and more modern designs. Dal Vera's post-war creations indeed have a more typical mid-century modern appeal, with clean, angular lines inspired by Scandinavian designers such as Hans Wegner. Over the years, the company's pieces take on a bohemian style, in step with the trends of the time. Throughout the early 1980s, Dal Vera dining chairs were used by the Les Arcs ski resort in Savoy, France. They were personally selected by the influential French designer and architect Charlotte Perriand. The company's high-quality pieces remain in demand among collectors today.
