While desks come in an almost endless number of sizes, it is rare to find a narrow one that will still provide all of the functionality one needs and expects from their desk. This beautiful piece fills that need and looks truly amazing to boot! From front to back this desk only measures 25? making it ideal for smaller spaces. Despite that narrow depth it still offers a multitude of bells and whistles such as a full size file drawer that will fit either legal or letter size files. (It comes with a pre-installed adjustable hanging system) The left pedestals is a large cabinet that would be great to house a computer tower or printer (we will be happy to install cord holes if you desire) or for large storage. A drop down keyboard drawer is the central drawer and can also function as a regular pencil drawer. All of the drawers and the cabinet on this reproduction desk lock with included keys. For your convenience the desk breaks down into three pieces (top and two pedestals) for easier moving into your home. A third generation furniture maker in England has painstakingly handcrafted this desk down to the last detail to emulate Georgian style antique desks while giving it easy functionality for today’s office needs. The wood is a beautiful selection of mahogany that he accented with satinwood banding around the drawer fronts. Solid brass, English made handles and escutcheons also adorn the front. The feet are an ogee bracket feet which provide some curve to the desk and raise it appropriately off the floor. The back comes completely finished. On the top you will note a three panel top grade leather in a nice brown. Finally he uses a labor intensive seven stage hand finishing process to finish the desk. This process provides not only gorgeous color but a finish with an antique look that will last for many years to come. The knee hole measures 22.75? wide at the bottom between the feet, 26? wide above the feet, and 25.75? tall.
