A mid nineteenth century French bureau plat of good scale, in mahogany with kingwood veneer crossbanding, with brown leather writing surface with gilt tooling to the border, opening with four drawers to the front, with brass escutcheons and steel and brass key. All supported on four fluted and tapering legs, terminating in brass sabots.
