Magnificent and ultra rare Art Deco Haagse School desk or writing table. Design by Hendrik Wouda for H. Pander & Zonen. Striking Dutch design from the 1920s. Solid oak and oak veneer with original solid Macassar ebony knobs. The writing section is veneered Macassar ebony. Height of the writing section: 75 cm or 29.53 in. Hendrik Wouda was a famous architect and designer and his work is highly influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright. Marked on the original key. This museum piece is in very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
