Oak Writing Desk in the Style of Guillerme Et Chambron, France 1950s
About the Item
A 1950s French writing desk in the style of French design duo Guillerme et Chambron. This desk was beautifully constructed using oak with gorgeous wood graining and carved detailing. It has three drawers, the front of which feature a subtle triangular pattern achieved by thoughtful placement of the wood grain. The drawers have dovetail joinery, patinated brass hardware and retain the original key. An open compartment above the drawers is perfect for displaying books or magazines. Unmarked. Sourced in France, 1950s.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Great vintage condition. Minor wear to the wood frame including small marks, indentations and areas of discoloration can be seen in photographs. Several small chips to the base of the legs. A beautiful patina to the brass hardware.
