About the Item

A rare example of an 18th century mahogany bureau bookcase, the whole with finely carved mouldings and a swan neck pediment above the two doors. Good flame mahogany to the doors, fall and drawer fronts, standing on well carved cabriole legs ending in ball and claw feet. This cabinet has both Irish and American design influences but just where it was made is not know.
