Rare Hos Wulff Free Standing Desk in Leather and Teak

About the Item

Hos Wulff, free standing writing desk, leather, teak, Denmark, 1940 This free standing writing desk is designed by Hos Wulff and dates back to 1940. With regard to its essential form, material use, and expert craftsmanship, this desk is a testimony to Danish Modern Design from the interwar period. Clarity, simplicity, and structure are the main characteristics. The body is based on a crescent shape and rests on three cylindrical-shaped legs. The determining detail that evidences the designer's careful thinking and great eye for detail is the way he designed the storage system. The front is furnished with two compartments, each equipped with two drawers. The back is flanked with two compartments that can be accessed through the drop-down leaf and two open spaces. In addition, a pull-out tray can be extended on both sides of the tabletop to create more work space. Whatever perspective you take on it, every angle provides a different visual excitement, and, therefore, this table can be placed freely in the room.       Please note that this item is in good, used condition. For further information we kindly ask you to reach out to our design specialists.
