Introducing a stunning, Danish-made six-drawer writer's desk constructed from a mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak. This extraordinary writer's desk has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration process. Every square inch of surface space has been sanded and refinished with other repairs made to the veneer and joinery ensuring that this desk is ready for a lifetime more of use though there are some minor signs of vintage wear that remain.
With it's intricately carved handles, superb joinery and stunning use of solid and matchbook veneered teak this splendid desk is a testament to Danish design and craftsmanship. This extraordinary writer's desk has recently undergone a comprehensive restoration process. Every square in of surface space has been hand-sanded and refinished making this exceptional desk ready for a literal lifetime more of use. With that said there are some signs of wear that remain such as small scratches (too deep in the veneer to sand out completely) as well as veneer and joinery repairs (all of which can be seen in the detail photos provided). With that said this desk is in overall very good condition and with a fresh coat of polyurethane clearcoat, this desk is now protected from wear for decades to come.
All six drawers open and close with ease and both front facing fixed shelves are structurally sound and weight-bearing. The keys for both functioning locks have been lost to time, however fresh skeleton keys can be fabricated at cost if desired. Please message us prior to checkout to discuss options and pricing.
