Spectacular Period Oak Clerk's Desk or Secretaire

About the Item

A rare example of 17th Century period furniture, this wonderful oak clerk's desk is in very fine preserved condition. The original key to the drop down writing surface works well, and the many drawers open and close easily. Shown in thumbnails are the two hidden drawers. Not shown is that the body of the piece comes apart from it's base for easy transport. One of the pad feet under the cabriole legs is replaced. When opened, the writing surface is 31.5" high. Elegant.
