Reminiscent of neoclassical French Louis XVI style with fluted columns-as-legs, bronze acanthus feet and corners embossed with gilt swag, this extraordinary and rare writing table is the quintessential piece from sought-after midcentury master craftsman John Vesey (1924-1992). The front has three frieze storage drawers and the top is inset with leather, both trimmed with gilt bronze detailing. This single-owner piece is in extraordinary original condition. Classic in every iconic manner but with an unmistakably modern bent, this piece is at home wherever tasteful sophistication prevails.
