A Swedish Gustavian style painted desk from the mid-19th century, with two drawers, fluted motifs and tapered legs. Created in Sweden during the 1850s, this Gustavian style painted desk features a rectangular top sitting above two drawers adorned with reeded motifs and fitted with classical hardware. Carved with arched motifs on the lower apron and fluted patterns on the knees, the table is raised on four tapered legs. With its clean lines and soft finish, this Gustavian style painted desk, circa 1850, will bring a touch of Classicism to any home, particularly placed in a living room, study or bedroom.
