About the Item
Unique hand crafted table in solid walnut wood designed by Laura Maasry and manufactured in Berlin, 2020.
Crafted by a master carpenter, the Fourframes-X is made is made with 100% high
quality solid walnut wood for the tabletop and for the framework. The intricate
wooden joinery of overlapping and finger joints achieve the stability and give the
piece its character. By principle of maximum elegance, a filigree framework of
3 x 3cm (1,18 x 1,18 in) profiles was achieved. The thin framework on floor level was designed in harmony with leg movement; the wood itself feels warm by slight touch or graze. The structure works beautifully as a multifunctional table: as a single work place, or as a dining surface for two, four, or six. All internal connections are in wood, all surfaces planed and softly polished with a natural balsam, preserving the red-hued, mat surface of the walnut wood.
