We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite hand made in England circa 1780-1800 Georgian reading table with period candelabra slip trays A very good looking and expertly crafted piece, most likely made by Gillow’s given the drawer formation, quality and timber which looks to be Honduras Mahogany, all sure signs of the finest quality. This is a real 10/10 for its type and something that every collector should have The table boasts an angle adjustable reading slope, twin candle slip trays and various drawers, this really is the best of the best for this type In terms of the condition, we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, it will have some light age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect for a 220-240 year old piece, mostly its in very very fine order indeed Dimensions Height:- 70cm Width:- 76cm Depth:- 50cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
