Very Fine circa 1780 Georgian Mahogany Reading Table with Candle Slips & Slope
About the Item
We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite hand made in England circa 1780-1800 Georgian reading table with period candelabra slip trays
A very good looking and expertly crafted piece, most likely made by Gillow’s given the drawer formation, quality and timber which looks to be Honduras Mahogany, all sure signs of the finest quality. This is a real 10/10 for its type and something that every collector should have
The table boasts an angle adjustable reading slope, twin candle slip trays and various drawers, this really is the best of the best for this type
In terms of the condition, we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, it will have some light age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect for a 220-240 year old piece, mostly its in very very fine order indeed
