Vintage 1970s Danish Mid Century Modern Teak Wood Lovig Desk

About the Item

The iconic Løvig teak flip top desk designed by Peter Løvig Nielsen, 1960s, Denmark. It’s versatile in that the back shelf can flip down on its brass hinges to create a larger work surface. The bigger size of this desk is great for modern day work needs. There are cubbies on the back in both configurations. It features four main drawers plus two additional curved dovetail joint drawer trays which are sometimes missing from these desks. It’s in good condition with a few scuffs and only mild signs of wear. It has been refinished to stay true to its original finish. There is a difference in color on the top under the folding portion due to sun fading. No key is included. It is stamped on the bottom with the brand and stamped twice with the year of manufacturing, 1976. Dimensions: 64” wide, 34” tall x 29” deep folded, 28.75” tall x 38” deep unfolded. There’s 23.5” between the floor and the bottom of the desk top.
