Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely exquisite Waring & Gillow Paris writing table with the original hand dyed brown leather top and hand carved legs in the Thomas Chippendale taste

This is one of, if not the best, Waring & Gillow piece I have ever seen, the quality of the craftsmanship is second to none, it is exquisite, the leather top has been restored, I have had my leather polishers hand dye it, it has kept all the age and charm but now has a rich deep cigar brown finish
The desk is stamped on the drawer Waring & Gillow Paris, I have never seen a piece stamped Paris before, as far as I was aware the were only based in England but perhaps they stamped some pieces they export to France or maybe the tried out a branch there for a short time, who knows!
Condition wise, we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there may be some light age and use related patina marks, mostly its in super fine order

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
