About the Item

Biosca, dining chairs, dining table, stained pine, leather, Spain, 1950s. Lovely brutalist dining set consisting of a dining table in pine and six chairs in a patinated lived in leather and pine frames. Both the dining table and the chairs have a very robust and lived in appearance. The chairs have great detailing of decorative brass nails that hold the leather into the wood. The nails add to the character of the chair and are very reminiscent of 18th century Spanish chairs. The leathers shows wear due to age and use, with heavy patina, some marks and scratches all-over. These flaws are only attributing to its authenticity and aesthetics. The six chairs fit beautifully around the solid pine dining table. The pedestal legs of the table have square panels in them that make them very interesting to look at. The table is made with great craftsmanship that is noticeable in many parts, for example the great way that such a heavy and solid tabletop of pinewood is connected to its pedestal legs with very subtle flat joints in the wood. Please note that these items are in used condition. The leather of the chairs is patinated as has some spots. The table shows signs of wear and age. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
